How it works

The website is a window onto part of what the shop holds. Nothing is paid through the website — payment always happens in the shop, when you come to see the piece.

Reserving a piece

  1. Choose the piece and press “Reserve this piece”.
  2. Leave your name and phone number. The phone number is required: that is how we reach you. If you want home delivery, leave the address as well.
  3. You join a queue. A reservation does not take the piece off the website or stop other people reserving it. Whoever reserves first is called first.
  4. We call you. We confirm whether the piece is still available and arrange when you can come by the shop.

Why is there a queue?

Pieces are also sold over the counter and there is no real-time stock record. A reservation does not hold the piece: it gives you a place in the order we call, and nothing more. If the piece has already been sold, we will tell you.

Offer a different price

If you think the listed price is not the right one — higher or lower — you can send an offer with the amount you are willing to pay.

  • An offer is not a reservation and does not join the queue.
  • The amount offered has to be reasonable against the listed price. Amounts far from it are not accepted by the website.
  • We consider every offer and call you with an answer.

Pieces on sale

When a piece is marked Sale, we show the previous price struck through next to the new one. Only pieces genuinely on offer are marked this way.

Delivery and transport

We have our own team and van to collect, transport, dismantle and assemble. Transport is quoted separately, by rate and distance. Transport is not priced on the website. Check with us by phone or in the shop.

If you want it delivered, leave the address in the reservation or offer form: that way we can quote the transport when we call.

Selling your pieces to us

We buy single pieces and entire house contents. Send photographs and the price you want for the lot — it is here. The appraisal is free and without obligation, and if it makes sense we come to your home.
